Meet Ms. Wiltse
Hi! I'm the Coonley librarian, Nora Wiltse. 2018-19 will be my 11th year at Coonley and my 16th year as a school librarian in Chicago Public Schools.
My favorite part of my job is matching the right book with the right student. It's no surprise, then, that we spend lots of time at Coonley talking about books, recommending books to each other, writing about our favorite books, and of course READING our favorite books! I believe there are books to excite every student- even if it takes a little while to find the right fit.
At Coonley we also learn research skills (also called information literacy skills). When students leave Coonley for high school, they will have critical thinking skills to access and evaluate information, and use it ethically. With the ability to access information instantly and in many formats today, it's necessary to learn how to evaluate information for truth and accuracy, and to incorporate this new learning with our previous knowledge.
If you have questions about book check-out policies, please see this page. If you have other questions, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or stop in the library - Room 305- to visit. Thanks!
